Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) Diponegoro University has held a public lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Social Media” on Thursday, May 30, 2024. This event was attended by DPWK students from the 2023 batch. This public lecture invited Deswara “Adez” Aulia as a speaker, a social media practitioner who serves as the Chief Learning Officer at Immersiva.id, Co-Founder and Chief Metaverse Officer at Metaverse Studio Indonesia, as well as Co-Founder of AISTUDIO.ID. He has extensive experience in various international projects.
Social media has become an inseparable part of modern life, and AI plays an important role in supporting the use of social media. AI can help facilitate the creation of interesting and relevant content for the audience. This can optimize user engagement across various social media platforms.
In the field of regional and urban planning, AI has great potential to assist in data analysis as a basis for content creation. Additionally, AI can help generate attractive presentations of the information. The utilization of AI can improve the quality and dissemination of interesting information about urban and regional planning issues on social media.
This public lecture is expected to provide new insights for students to be able to utilize AI in developing effective social media strategies and content. The use of AI for social media in the field of urban and regional planning can also contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, such as goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. In the future, it is hoped that the utilization of AI can be further optimized to support the use of social media within the realm of urban and regional planning, while still paying attention to ethics and data privacy to prevent misuse.
